The philosophy of this Stellenbosch vintner is to create very individual wines in a traditional manner. The Chenin Blanc from old grapes is harvested by hand, left on the lees for nine months and then matured in French oak barrels. This results in a fantastic example of how harmonious the balance of fruit and soft wood and vanilla notes can be. The golden wine smells of melon and roasted apple, which is underlined on the palate by mineral nuances and aromas of beeswax and caramel. It is soft, but also has enough body to accompany even very spicy dishes.
