Disposal of electrical and electronic equipment

  1. Owners of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to collect old equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. Electrical and electronic equipment must therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, do not belong in the household waste. Please remember to remove old batteries and accumulators before handing in these old devices, provided they are not enclosed by these old devices. The removed batteries are then to be returned free of charge to the battery sales outlets or to recycling centers or other battery collection facilities.

  2. The crossed-out bin sign means that electrical and electronic items may not be disposed of with household waste:

  3. As a distributor of electrical and electronic equipment, we are obliged to take back old equipment free of charge according to § 17 ElektroG and under the conditions specified there. We comply with this legal obligation via the “elektroretoure24” portal. You can find detailed information on the exact scope of our take-back obligations and the options we have created to return old devices via the following links:

    www.elektroretoure24.de/miles-and-more

    www.elektroretoure24.de/miles-and-more?pid=69#ruecknahmeinformation

The return shipment must be realized within Germany.

  4. Please note that you, as the end user, are responsible for deleting personal and other confidential data from your old devices before handing them over.

  5. Please also ensure that the old device is properly packaged for shipping, so that breakage is avoided as far as possible and mechanical compression or breakage can be excluded.

  6. The acceptance of old devices may be refused if there is a risk to human health and safety due to contamination (e.g. leaked battery, refrigerators that have not defrosted, etc.).

  7. Old electrical devices must not be enclosed in the packages of your returns for a WorldShop order.

Notes on battery disposal
