From aviation materials to must-have items
It takes between eight and ten weeks to take apart a decommissioned plane – and 92 percent of it is recycled. Not only do we reuse the aircraft skin, the windows and the wings, we also use parts of the interior such as the overhead bins, headrest covers, safety cards and Business Class blankets. And from the airport gates we also collect materials such as old quick-boarding panels and barrier tape so as to give them a new lease of life. We even recover the old uniforms worn by our flight attendants and pilots.
